Probus Club of Melton Mowbray

Melton Mowbray is located in the heart of the East Midlands in the county of Leicestershire. Well known for its world famous Pork Pies and Stilton Cheese.

Location Within a 20 mile radius of the town are Nottingham, Leicester, Grantham and Loughborough. There are frequent trains direct to places such as Leicester, Birmingham, and Peterborough. The market town is well known for its livestock market and local town markets on Tuesdays which dates back over 1000 years. Melton is also home to major manufacturers, research and educational institutions of national importance.

The aim of the club is to provide retired gentlemen with the opportunity to meet and enjoy the company of like-minded people. The object of all Probus Clubs is to promote fellowship amongst members by holding regular meetings and functions. All Probus Clubs are non-political and non-sectarian.

The Club meets on the first Friday in the month for a lunch 12.00 for 12.45 when following the lunch club members and their guests enjoy talks by a variety of speakers, often illustrated with slides, on a wide range of interesting subjects. A ladies lunch is arranged for members and partners on the second Friday in February with coffee mornings each month.
